Decksmith 1.5.1 — Maker’s Mark starter defaults
This V1.5 update refines the first-install experience for Stream Deck + and the
standard 15-key MK.2 on Fedora Workstation 44, x86_64, GNOME/Wayland.
- Maker’s Mark is the starter theme: Sans, Small, White text, transparent key
background, Bottom labels, transparent label background and 85% icons. - Each device’s Home page has a bottom-left Maker’s Mark logo key using Open
website to visit https://github.com/infamous-pattern/decksmith. - Existing saved layouts and assignments are preserved. Plus Home retains Mute
on the next unused starter key. Transparent key backgrounds show the page color.

V1.5 features and limits
The signed candidate passed source/signature/hash admission, native editor checks
for both models, exact-package and paired-backup recovery checks on AI_server,
and normal controls plus Homebridge on the maintainer’s physical pair. Broader
V1.5 lifecycle, accessibility, resource and fresh-OS dependency coverage is carried
forward, not repeated for this defaults patch.
Fedora 44 remains the supported OS; other previews stay separate. Homebridge is
experimental. USB permission setup remains separate. Keep the previous build and
a matching complete configuration/device-store backup for downgrade; the older
parser cannot read newly saved transparent-background values. V1.5.0 and earlier
releases remain available.
Developed with ChatGPT/Codex assistance alongside human design, review and
physical testing. Core controls do not require a cloud account.
