Ensure all workers are terminated before upgrading to version 0.17.0 - Version 0.17.0 is backward-compatible, meaning workers using this version can read messages produced by earlier versions. However, workers running earlier versions may not be able to read messages produced by version 0.17.0.

  • It's now possible for workflows to access custom property of exceptions raised in tasks - see Workflow Errors

🚨 Breaking Changes

  • Rename WorkflowTaskFailedException to WorkflowExecutorException
  • Rename WorkerException to TaskFailure, refactored with the following new properties:
    • exception: description of the original exception, including the exception custom properties
    • retrySequence, and retryIndex
    • secondsBeforeRetry
    • previousFailure
  • CloudEvents:
    • changed task failure description (including error renamed to failure)
    • retryDelayMillis property renamed to secondsBeforeRetry for consistency
