Compatibility

  • This release has been tested with Kotlin versions 2.2.21 … 2.5.0-Beta1. Its ABI is binary-compatible with TestBalloon 1.1.0.
  • JS and Wasm targets require Kotlin >= 2.2.21 (KT-80868).

Changes (since 1.1.0)

  • Libraries are now built with Kotlin 2.2.21 instead of 2.2.0. JS and Wasm targets require Kotlin >= 2.2.21 due to Kotlin stdlib changes (KT-80868).
  • integration-robolectric: Now requires Robolectric >= 4.17 (from 4.16.1)
  • integration-kotest-assertions: Now requires Kotest >= 6.1.4 (from 5.9.1) and includes the Wasm/WASI target.
  • The minimum supported JDK is now 8 instead of 11.
  • The TestBalloon Gradle plugin now supports multiple versions of the Kotlin Gradle plugin.
  • There is preliminary experimental support for the new JS test DSL and Playwright-based browser tests in Kotlin 2.4.20 and above.
