Limited access for InfluxDB

Hi Team,

is there any option to limit specific IP access to InfluxDB?

We are using InfluxDB for telegraf data store, and Grafana to access/GET data from InfluxDB, Now I want to allow only one Grafana server to access/GET influx data.

We can't use user/password for this, so is there any option to restrict influxDB access?

@rguptarg thanks for opening this. I don't believe there are any ip whitelist filtering options native to the database. Here are all the options available for configuring the http endpoints in case something else works for you. https://docs.influxdata.com/influxdb/v1.7/administration/config/#http-endpoints-settings

I think your best bet would be to put influxdb behind an http proxy and do the filtering there if needed.

we don't currently have this feature on our backlog, but i will leave this open in case someone from the community wants to take a stab at it.

I would second that, ip whitelisting would be great. This would allow our whole private network to access the database but no one from a remote connection.
