Fixed
- Core connections no longer advertise
create_resource_tokenor
list_resource_tokens.
InfluxDB 3 Core doesn't support resource tokens. - Resource-token service validation now accepts only InfluxDB 3 Enterprise.
get_helpnow states that InfluxDB 3 supports SQL and InfluxQL.
Flux is not supported.get_helpdistinguishes MCP query tool names from HTTP endpoint paths.
The server selects the transport and endpoint for the configured product.- InfluxQL endpoint guidance now identifies both
/api/v3/query_influxql
and the v1-compatible/queryendpoint for Core, Enterprise, and InfluxDB 3 Cloud.
Cloud Serverless, Cloud Dedicated, and Clustered use the v1/queryendpoint.
Added
create_admin_tokenaccepts an optionalexpiry_secsvalue for Core and
Enterprise named admin tokens.- Core integration CI now runs against the fixed
influxdb:3.11.5-coreimage. - Stable releases register the npm package in the official MCP Registry as
io.github.influxdata/influxdb3-mcp-serverafter npm publishing succeeds. - CI validates registry metadata and checks package identity and version
consistency. The release job verifies the exact registered version.
Validation
- CI passed version and registry metadata validation, formatting, protocol tests, and Core and Cloud Serverless integration tests.
- Targeted Claude and Codex evals cover help interpretation and live InfluxQL recovery. Cloud interpretation runs passed routing and language checks but reported a section heading instead of the overall help heading.
