Cortiq 0.8.4

Whisper

  • Added Whisper transcription support through cortiq transcribe for converted CMF v2 checkpoints.
  • Whisper now uses Cortiq's shared CPU worker pool and honors CMF_THREADS instead of a fixed eight-thread cap.
  • On the Xeon E5-2690 v4 / RTX PRO 4000 test host, increasing the pool from 7 to 27 workers reduced single-clip CLI time for Turbo Q4T from 31.02 s to 24.30 s on CPU and 16.08 s to 12.80 s on Vulkan. Turbo Q4TP mixed changed from 33.72 s to 25.82 s on CPU and 13.27 s to 11.93 s on Vulkan.

These are single-run measurements on one 10.435-second English LibriSpeech WAV, not a corpus benchmark or WER evaluation. Results depend on hardware, model, and audio. See the Whisper model card for model sizes, timings, install instructions, and usage.

Install

Requires Rust 1.88 or newer:

cargo install cortiq-cli --version 0.8.4 --locked

Prebuilt CLI and FFI archives with SHA-256 checksums are attached below for supported platforms.
