Plugins and UI

• Increased the plugin list height and added live refresh while the panel is open. Plugins imported or managed through MCP appear in about 1.5 seconds without restarting.

MCP permission controls

• Added three local permission modes: Ask every time (default), Partial access, and Unrestricted access.
• Partial access independently controls full capture-data reads, settings/capture/system-proxy controls, local plugin import and enabling, and packet sending/request replay.
• Unrestricted access skips all MCP confirmations, including private data, plugin code, and network operations. Connect trusted MCP clients only. Existing users remain in Ask every time by default.

Build

The Windows x64 executable was built successfully by GitHub Actions and is attached below. Its file size and SHA-256 are listed in the bilingual build-artifact section.

v1.2.1 rebuilt fix

• Fixed native Windows consent handling: selecting “Yes” now authorizes the requested MCP action; “No” or cancel still denies it.
• Fixed MCP operations—such as reading approved private packet data or importing/enabling a plugin—being incorrectly rejected after user approval.

Expanded MCP tools

• AI clients can inspect local capture lists, connection details, packet messages, status, and plugins through MCP.
• With confirmation, clients can import/enable plugins, send data over existing WebSocket/TCP/UDP sessions, replay HTTP(S) captures, and control capture and the system proxy.
• Generic plugin UI commands let MCP invoke plugin-provided actions. Code execution, sends, replays, capture/proxy controls, and UI actions each require user confirmation.

Privacy and security

• URL query values, user information, and fragments are redacted by default. Headers, payloads, and other sensitive data are returned only when explicitly requested and approved by the user.
• The MCP service binds to 127.0.0.1 only; connecting does not automatically start capture or change the system proxy.
• Go plugins execute locally without a security sandbox. Use plugins from trusted sources only.

Platform: Windows x64. GitHub Actions will build the EXE from the v1.2.1 tag, attach it to this Release, and add its file size and SHA-256. GitHub Source code ZIP/TAR.GZ files are source code, not application builds.

McpNet puts open source and community extensibility at the center. Users can develop and share plugins around their own protocols and workflows instead of relying only on built-in decoders—enabling community-built decoders, packet processors, and small tools.

• Added one-click ZIP/folder import. Packages must contain main.go and one JSON manifest. Imports are disabled by default; duplicate IDs never overwrite installed plugins.
• Go hooks can combine protocol, direction, URL, text, regexp, byte-pattern, and custom conditions across HTTP request/response, WebSocket, UDP, and other events.
• Plugins can decode, encode, or modify matching packets according to custom logic, then return them to the existing forwarding flow.
• Optional ui.title/ui.html fields provide custom HTML/JavaScript windows that exchange inputs and results with Go through plugin actions.

• Fixed the confirmed startup failure root cause: the bundled script checker now maps the legacy SunnyNet public and RSA import paths, preventing a missing-module panic before the main UI appears.
• The v1.1.3 fixed build was launched in GUI mode in the development environment and its main window was confirmed visible. This version fixes the startup issue confirmed for this release.
• Startup diagnostics are retained to help investigate environment-specific issues on other PCs.
