Write the stored sign-in file atomically with owner-only permissions, so an interrupted write keeps the previously stored credentials.

OpenKnowledge Beta on macOS can open and create projects again.

Check required OpenKnowledge connections before opening an external app. When setup is needed, connect and continue or open without saving; a preference can skip future checks for that app in this project. Read errors and unavailable connection management still allow the app to open.
