v1.4.4 — Fix REST API settings keys + auto-migration

Bug Fix

• Fixed: REST API endpoint (POST /inkline-resend/v1/settings) was saving settings with wrong key names (resend_api_key instead of api_key, etc.), causing WP Admin to show empty settings and emails not to send
• Added: Auto-migration on plugin load that detects and fixes the wrong key names from v1.4.2–1.4.3
• Fixed: GET endpoint now masks the correct key name

Affected Sites

Any site configured via the REST API in v1.4.2 or v1.4.3 will auto-heal on the next page load after updating to v1.4.4.

Upgrade

After updating, the plugin will no longer appear in wp.org update checks. Updates are served exclusively from this GitHub repo.

Fork of "Send Emails with Resend" v1.3.0 by CloudCatch LLC (GPLv2+).

Changes from upstream

• From Name is now a fallback — if wp_mail() or a plugin sets a sender name, it's respected. Settings value is only used when no name is provided or when WordPress's default "WordPress" would be sent.
• From Email is now a fallback — if the calling code sets a From address and its domain matches the verified Resend sending domain, that address is used. Otherwise falls back to settings to prevent bounces.
• Settings labels updated to "Fallback From Email" / "Fallback From Name" for clarity.
• GitHub auto-updater built in — WordPress will check this repo for new releases and offer updates through the standard admin UI.

Installation

Download inkline-wp-resend-1.4.0.zip below, then WP Admin → Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin.
