Blockstudio 7.7.0 adds virtual routes for documents without a WordPress post, more precise prerender builds, and a broad set of editor, rendering, and accessibility fixes.

New

  • Virtual routes serve complete documents with block assets, Tailwind, document titles, and static prerender support, without creating posts
  • HTTP graph builds track the source dependencies of each page for targeted rebuilds
  • cache.namespaceGrace controls retention of retired cache namespaces for cached pages
  • wp bs prerender map status and wp bs prerender map prune inspect and remove unused early-serve map entries
  • PHPStan checks prefix tags, aliases, mapped page elements, layouts, and bundled UI blocks
  • wp bs pages sync reports stored attributes that are not rendered
  • UI inputs support autocomplete, and password inputs accept an ID and accessible label

Fixes

  • Multi-selected edits and saves preserve each block's own content, keys, metadata, and locks (#98)
  • RichText and sidebar fields participate in undo and redo; templateLock="false" unlocks nested content (#98)
  • Editor preloads receive the correct post context, and child blocks keep their own inherited context across cached renders (#98)
  • Option storage writes only supplied, changed fields on published saves; drafts and unchanged stale copies no longer overwrite live options (#98)
  • Editor block roots stay adjacent for theme sibling selectors, without hidden render markers (#102)
  • Editing a nested SCSS partial recompiles dependent stylesheets (#96)
  • Nested page and pattern lists preserve their hierarchy and classes (#97)
  • Contributor installations no longer require Font Awesome registry credentials (#103)
  • Installed JavaScript translations load in the editor and admin overview, including previously untranslated field controls
  • Blade page, pattern, and Site Template sources support illuminate/view 8 through 12
  • PHPStan recognises template variables and preserves their field types under PHPStan 2.3
  • File-based content preserves sectioning elements, inline HTML, image-only paragraphs, and shortcode text
  • Block tag attributes are decoded and escaped once, global HTML attributes reach the block root, and quoted greater-than signs are accepted
  • Every extension file registers when target names are shared, with documented priority, groups, and target lists supported
  • Markdown requests bypass prerendered HTML and responses vary on the Accept header
  • Prerender build identities remain stable, early-serve map updates invalidate opcode data, and active cache namespaces remain protected
  • Static prerendering honours active-theme filters and no longer excludes valid paths containing search or preview
  • Bundled UI controls expose correct ARIA state, labels toggle their controls, lists and tables use valid structure, and animations respect reduced motion

Upgrading

PHP 8.2 and WordPress 6.7 remain the minimum requirements. Page synchronization stays explicit through the CLI or API.

Option-backed fields now write live options only from published saves. Integrations using draft or private configuration posts should write those options explicitly instead.

The PHPStan changes ship separately in blockstudio/phpstan 0.1.9. Update with composer require --dev blockstudio/phpstan:^0.1.9.
