What's new in Lace 2.4.0

Added

• Staking: You can now stake USDrf from the Staking centre. Track your position and rewards on a dedicated screen, and see your wallet's R-Points balance with a breakdown per account. Launch promotions such as the Genesis Boost and the one-time acquisition bonus are picked up automatically while they run. Available in eligible countries.
• Swap: The review screen now shows what the transaction does, not just the quote. You can see what leaves your wallet, the transaction fee, where the order goes, what is held as collateral, and when it expires.
• dApps: If Lace cannot sign something a dApp asked for, it now tells you and explains why. Before, the request was simply left unanswered.
• Midnight: You can expand a Midnight send on the send sheet to view the raw transaction data before you confirm.
• Midnight: You can generate DUST from a Cardano account that holds cNIGHT. Choose which Midnight account or address it generates to, review your choice before confirming, then change the target or stop generating later from the same screen. Coming shortly after the 2.4.0 release.
• Hardware wallets: The import screens now warn you that a recovery phrase creates a software wallet, not a hardware wallet.

Improved

• Midnight: Syncing is more reliable. Each wallet's state is stored separately, and sync progress now reflects the slowest part of your wallet instead of the fastest, so the number you see is more honest. Shielded wallets sync over the Midnight SDK's standard event stream.
• Midnight: The remote proof server option has been removed from Midnight settings.
• Reliability: Failed blockchain data requests are now retried. Some request types said they were retrying but never actually tried again.

Fixed

• dApps: Improved resilience after the wallet restarts in the background.
• dApps: Signing requests are now handled properly from start to finish. Each request gets an answer even if the dApp tab is cached, closed or disconnected, and a lost connection is reported back as a proper wallet error. Several requests at once are queued and shown one at a time instead of being dropped, approving or declining one no longer affects another, and a request is never shown as declined before you
  have seen it. Success is reported only once the signature is really in place.
• dApps: Errors during signing are shown in the signing window instead of it closing without explanation, and one dApp losing its connection no longer blocks messages to your other connected dApps.
• Midnight: Sending several tokens in one transaction now sends all of them.
• Midnight: If a wallet's stored data cannot be read, it is rebuilt instead of being left unusable. Sync failures are retried and shown to you instead of stopping quietly.
• Midnight: Activity now reads correctly. Transactions that partly succeed show their final Send or Receive state, transfers to yourself are labelled as such, rows with no value no longer say "unknown", and a transaction still waiting to finalise no longer shows a pending row.
• Midnight: A new account no longer saves an empty transaction history over its own. Midnight sheets now scroll to full height instead of cutting off content.
• Activity: The amount shown for a Cardano activity is now worked out from the transaction's own inputs and outputs.
• Swap: The amount you will receive on the review screen now uses the correct number of decimal places for the token you are buying. The footer no longer overlaps the review and result screens when you scroll.
• Collateral: Walking away from a signing prompt no longer blocks later transactions in the same wallet.
