Cocoon 3.0.5
Highlights
HUGE DISCORD CHANGES. PLEASE READ
Removed Discord Social features (friends, etc) to prepare for Hive (read #announcements for more information)
Cocoon can still show Rich Presence and no longer requires any authorisation at all!! As long as you have Discord installed and logged in on your device, it will just work! No more annoying popups, sign ins or permissions. (there is still a toggle under Integrations to disable Rich Presence, but it now no longer requires any sign in to enable)
Discord Rich Presence now shows the current game as its title instead of "Cocoon"
Discord Rich Presence shows a Game Information button to other users (doesn't show for yourself for some reason so dw if you don't see it), taking them to the currently played game's IGDB page
Discord Rich Presence now stays connected reliably while playing in single-screen mode
OTHERS
Cocoon can now watch your ROM folders for new games without constantly rescanning your library
New games and supported platform folders are grouped into one notification where you can review everything found and choose what to import
Jingles can now be scraped whenever a jingle repository is configured
Added a Random smart folder
Added a Random Game widget
Added an Emulators smart folder, keeping emulator apps out of Android Games
Android apps can now be edited from Home, folders, the App Drawer and dock, with per-app screen, game, playtime and platform preferences
Added full support for Wii U games stored in Loadiine folders, importing each title as one game with its folder name
Library and setup
First-time setup now lets you choose an installed default player for every platform found during ROM import
Imported Android shortcuts now let you choose a platform and whether to add them to Home before saving
Auto session tracking now saves a session after 10 seconds instead of 30 seconds
Controls and interface
Game context menus now include Hide and Favorite actions
Y now jumps directly to Edit, while RB quickly toggles Favorite
Android apps now include App Info in their Y menu on Home
Select can now toggle and cycle the expanded game info view in single-screen mode, just like X
Smart folder creation, editing, genre, regex and platform selection now use Cocoon's consistent 3.0 dialog design
The Add Platform dialog in Library & Data settings now uses Cocoon's 3.0 dialog design
Dock Style settings previews now show icons from the selected icon pack
Platforms and integrations
Signing into RetroAchievements now automatically matches supported imported games with their achievement IDs without replacing manual choices
Pokémon Mini games can now be matched with RetroAchievements
Android Games is now a built-in scraping platform, using Android-specific IGDB and LaunchBox matches plus SteamGridDB artwork
(Because automatic Android matches can vary, use Scrape Game in Edit Game or the media picker instead of automatic Scrape settings)
Screenshots and videos can now be selected independently when scraping games
Windows platform settings now show one shared Play time tracking option below all player choices
PictoVerse integration has been temporarily disabled
Other fixes
Large library rescans no longer run out of memory while checking existing games
Rescanning now removes games whose ROMs are no longer present
Removing a configured ROM folder now removes its games on the next complete rescan
Incomplete or unavailable storage scans no longer incorrectly remove games
Overlapping ROM folders are handled safely when checking for removed games
If a removed ROM returns later, Cocoon reconnects its preserved Activity Log history
Uninstalled Android apps and emulators now leave the grid, folders, Add Games and dock automatically
Playtime sessions now save reliably when the device sleeps
Older legacy backups now restore visible playtime totals correctly
Unmatched restored game data now retries quietly without repeated notifications
ES-DE integration now links Xbox 360 artwork and metadata to the Xbox 360 platform correctly
Music packs now load correctly when their track filename capitalisation differs
Themes and asset packs now ignore folder capitalisation
A missing theme component now falls back to the default without blocking the rest of the theme or catalogue
Cocoon no longer creates repeated numbered copies of its data folders when folder capitalisation differs or services initialise together
Platform downloads and ROM scans now play the loading and completion sounds during first-time setup (regression from 3.0)
