Review timeline and applicant feedback process

@jeremiahlee , One more question as I wait on the review, I want to be transparent that I'm genuinely invested in this and open to feedback either way.

Could you share:

1. What the expected review timeline looks like for the 2026 SDK Grant Program? Is there a target date by which applicants will hear back?
2. Whether there's any back-and-forth during review. For example, if the foundation has questions or concerns about a proposal, will applicants be contacted before a final decision?
3. If a proposal isn't approved, will applicants receive feedback explaining why? I ask because even if my application isn't successful, understanding the gaps would help me improve, either for a future cycle or by strengthening the work independently.

Applications to this grant program are reviewed on an ongoing basis. You will receive a reply within 2–4 weeks of applying. The reply may be an acceptance, a decline, a request for more information, or a deferred decision.

The scope of work covered by this grant program requires sequencing dependent upon the applications received and the selected grantees’ timelines. For example, Kiota cannot implement support for GNAP until GNAP support is added to the OpenAPI Specification. Each of these projects have their own roadmaps and we are working to align funding to when they are able to support additional contributions.

Declined applications may include feedback or an option to request feedback based on the foundation’s capacity to provide it at the time.
