• Pin external-link severity per host with --severity-override-hosts or check.severityOverrideHosts in docs.json (#571)
• Print per-attempt and per-host external-link debug lines with --debug (#571)

• Retry external link checks on 429 and dropped connections, and limit concurrency to 8 requests overall and 2 per hostname (#571)
• Bot-gate responses (401, 403, 405, 429) stay warnings unless a host severity override says otherwise (#571)
