Install from the AIM Cockpit Manager's Firmware page: select your board, click Check for updates, then Download and Upload & flash (manager v1.5.0 or newer). Files are per board type and not interchangeable.

Fixed

  • Switch polarity corrected. Since the first firmware release, correctly wired two-position toggles reported backwards, and three-position toggles read with their ends swapped; momentary buttons were unaffected. Switches wired per the wizard's pin labels now read correctly. If any of your switches were wired differently to compensate, flip them in software with the manager's new right-click Invert switch wiring option, no rework needed.
  • Boards reconnect on their own. If the connection to the manager dies silently (manager restart, cable blip, network change), the board now notices within about 25 seconds and re-dials, instead of sitting unreachable until power-cycled.

Changed

  • New factory network defaults. Unconfigured boards now start at 10.24.6.200 and call home to 10.24.6.1 (previously 192.168.100.x, which collides with cable modem diagnostics). Configured boards are unaffected; their addresses come from their saved configuration. Pair with manager v1.5.0, which handles both address ranges automatically.

Both binaries are version 2.4.1.

First public firmware release for the AIM Sidewinder and Phoenix panel boards. Download the file matching your board and install it from the AIM Cockpit Manager's Firmware page (see the README).

Highlights of the 2.3.x line:

  • Physical DED and PFLD support: SSD1322 OLED displays on a Sidewinder SPI channel, with a hand-drawn typeface matched to the real F-16 DED, inverse video, correct degree symbols, and an Invictus boot logo.
  • UHF and CMDS displays: MAX7219 seven-segment and HCMS-2973 dot-matrix drivers.
  • Indicator lamps and the 32-lamp caution panel: per-lamp GPIO drive plus TLC59281 chain support.
  • Reliability: SPI display drivers now initialize correctly on boards with no analog controls configured, and id matching is case-insensitive throughout.

Both binaries are version 2.3.8.
