[bug]: Upgrade failes with "Failed to install cpython-3.12.9-windows-x86_64-none"

What happened

I downloaded the latest installer (v1.7.1) and tried to upgrade my existing, old version to the latest version. The upgrade errors out with with failing to install Python 3.12...

I tried to re-run the update with the Repair option selected, but that didn't help either. Here is the log of the update:

Please try clearing the uv cache as described here: https://github.com/invoke-ai/launcher/?tab=readme-ov-file#problems-while-installing-invoke-via-launcher

I tried that. However, when I click on the >_ icon on the lower left, all that happens is a screen that shows:

Start Dev Console
We'll activate the virtual environment for the install at C:\Users\Matth\invokeai.

But then nothing happens and I can't type in any commands.

I also tried to get into the Developer Console in the old version. That did open the command prompt with the local InvokeAI Python virtual environment. But when I type in the uv cache clean it says that 'uv' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

So I tried to install the update again, when I saw the path to uv.exe (C:\Users\Matth\AppData\Local\Programs\invoke-community-edition\resources\bin\uv.exe). So in the old version I ran the command again in the virtual environment while the update was still downloading python. Although it said No cache found at: C:\Users\Matth\AppData\Local\uv\cache the updater now has gone past that error and is updating it.

You need to click Start Dev Console then you'll get a terminal window where you can enter the commands. But, it sounds like you've got it sorted another way so I will close this issue.
