1.8.4
This minor release improves automatic GPU detection and torch library selection. In particular, it recognizes systems with Intel Arc XPUs, (feature jointly contributed by @Pfannkuchensack and wesd6r).
⚠️ Important for macOS users: one-time manual update required
The macOS code-signing identity changed with release 1.8.2. As a result, the Launcher's built-in auto-update will NOT work from v1.8.1 or earlier to this version on macOS — you must download and install this release manually (see instructions below). This is a one-time step: future updates will install automatically again.
You will also notice that macOS reports a new publisher for the app. This is expected — releases are now signed by the project's current maintainer rather than the former Invoke AI, Inc entity.
Windows and Linux users are not affected and can update normally. If you are already on v1.8.2-rc.1, you are unaffected on all platforms.
