Jalegram 1.0.0 - Release Notes

🎉 Introducing Jalegram: The Telegram Bot Library That Doesn’t Ghost You! 🎉

Say hello to Jalegram—the Java library that makes building Telegram bots so easy, you’ll wonder why you ever bothered with those other "high-maintenance" libraries. We’ve taken the Telegram Bot API, sprinkled some Java magic on it, and wrapped it up in a package so delightful, even BotFather would approve (he’s still texting us back, though).

What’s New?

  • Everything: This is version 1.0.0, folks! We’re starting fresh, like a bot that just got unblocked from a group chat.
  • 70+ Methods: From sendMessage to banChatMember, we’ve got more tools than a Swiss Army knife at a bot convention. Send photos, videos, stickers, or even a dice roll—because who doesn’t love chaos?
  • JSON Parsing That Doesn’t Suck: Our getLastResult method digs through Telegram’s JSON responses like a pro, sparing you the existential crisis of nested optJSONObject calls.
  • Keyboards Galore: Custom keyboards, inline keyboards—your bot’s UI game just went from “meh” to “ooh la la.”
  • Chat Domination: Ban, unban, promote, restrict—rule your Telegram empire like a digital czar.

Why Jalegram?

We saw other Telegram libraries strutting around like they owned the place—looking at you, Unnamed Overcomplicated Library X—and thought, “Nah, we can do better.” Jalegram is lean, mean, and doesn’t make you write 50 lines just to say “Hi” to a chat. It’s like Retrofit had a baby with a Telegram bot and raised it on caffeine and good vibes.

Highlights (or Lowlights of the Competition)

  • No PhD Required: Unlike some libraries that demand you decode their cryptic docs like it’s the Da Vinci Code, Jalegram’s methods are named so clearly, even your grandma could use it (if she’s into bots).
  • Media Maestro: Send files, photos, and voice notes without selling your soul to the HTTP gods. OkHttp’s doing the heavy lifting, and we’re just here to look pretty.
  • Error Handling That Won’t Haunt You: Try-catch blocks? Sure. Crashing because Telegram forgot to send a field? Not on our watch.

Breaking News

  • No Webhooks (Yet): This is a polling party for now—webhooks are still flirting with us from across the room. Stay tuned!
  • Humor Included: We stole this release-note style from Retrofit’s playbook, but don’t tell them—they’ll just send us a passive-aggressive callback.

How to Get It?

Grab it from Maven (once we figure out how to bribe the repository gods):

<dependency>
    <groupId>io.github.initio</groupId>
    <artifactId>jalegram</artifactId>
    <version>1.0.0</version>
</dependency>

Or build it yourself like a true DIY bot warrior:

mvn clean install

Sample Shenanigans

Jalegram bot = new Jalegram("YOUR_TOKEN");
bot.sendMessage("123456789", "I’m alive! Unlike my last bot, RIP.");
bot.sendDice("123456789"); // Because why not?

Final Words

Jalegram 1.0.0 is here to save your bot-building soul. No more wrestling with APIs like it’s a cage match—just clean, simple, Java-powered Telegram goodness. Go forth, build bots, and don’t forget to tip your BotFather.

“Jalegram: Because your bot deserves better than a ‘seen at 3:42 AM’ from the API.”
