Added
Viewer: stretches of time the producer never observed are drawn as a dashed,
band-less segment rather than in the same ink as measured data. rate()
across a hole has a value but no honest uncertainty bound, and was previously
indistinguishable from a real point. Applies to both the display and matrix
paths, and per-capture in A/B compare. (#1193, #1199)
Viewer: the compare badge lists every capture in an N-way comparison, not
just the first two. (#1172)
Changed
cgroup_cpu_bandwidth_quota and cgroup_cpu_bandwidth_period now report
real values instead of 0. The tg_set_cfs_bandwidth kprobe read PARM2
as a pointer when the kernel passes a u64, which faulted on modern kernels.
Anything that encoded the zero — a dashboard panel, an alert threshold — will
see these series move. The sampler also gains fentry twins, with the kprobes
kept as the CO-RE-only fallback. (#1166, #1168)
An unwritten counter-group entry now reads as absent rather than zero, so
a sampler that populates part of a group no longer publishes phantom zero
series for the rest. Externally-backed (BPF mmap) groups are deliberately
unaffected: that memory is kernel zero-filled and cannot carry a sentinel.
(#1188, #1190)
Debian 11 packages are no longer published. The distribution is end-of-life.
