Degree-difference affine slices — candidate manuscript v0.1

Status: unrefereed candidate mathematical manuscript.

This prerelease publishes a candidate account of the degree-difference
determinant and affine slices of binary-form factorisation spaces, together
with exact local symbolic checks and an AI-readable evidence index.

The symbolic checker verifies selected explicit identities. In particular, it
constructs the manuscript's Sylvester matrix and verifies the full determinant
identity for all positive bidegrees with (r+s\le4), checks the base-point
sign convention for (1\le r,s\le8), and checks the explicit affine
parametrisation, inverse, Keller maps, Jacobians, three-point collision,
discriminant-coordinate conversion, and triple-root formulas. Ordinary and
optimized runs match the recorded transcript; a deliberately false
determinant expectation is rejected in both modes.

The checker does not verify the manuscript's all-degree determinant argument,
torsor and divisor-class proofs, cubic orbit classification, affine-bundle
arguments, global nonproperness proof, higher-degree obstruction, or
multifactor observation.

No independent external reproduction, external human review of the complete
manuscript, literature-based novelty determination, peer review, or
end-to-end formalisation is documented. This release invites issues,
counterexamples, and independent checks.

Except where otherwise indicated, original repository contents are offered
under CC0 1.0 Universal to the extent the affirmer holds the relevant rights.
Cited and quoted third-party material, linked sources, dependencies,
trademarks, and embedded fonts retain their own terms.
