@ipitchford ipitchford released this 28 Jul 19:28

Status: unrefereed candidate mathematical manuscript offered for scrutiny.

This is a citation robustness release after a cache-induced verification
scare; no claims changed.

The release commits the authoritative 41-reply WordPress API snapshot, direct
comment permalinks, a corrected multi-route citation gate, and expanded
ecosystem sources. The manuscript bytes before the bibliography are
identical to v0.1-candidate.

Exotic affine three-spheres and the quadratic–cubic obstruction — v0.1 candidate

Status: unrefereed candidate mathematical manuscript.

This prerelease publishes a candidate sequel on normalised affine slices of
binary-form factorisation spaces. It is pinned to foundation repository
ipitchford/degree-difference-affine-slices at commit
38bb6c2054fd1e231233ee9c1bbd8ebf7b666685.

The manuscript presents candidate arguments that:

  1. identify the transverse linear–quadratic slice with
    X(4,4,-a^3+a^2b^2-b^3), an exotic affine three-sphere not isomorphic to
    SL_2;
  2. exclude A^5 for every normalised quadratic–cubic slice using a
    Grothendieck-class formula and Hodge–Deligne obstruction; and
  3. describe the characteristic-3 reduction and its Artin–Schreier
    three-point collision.

The exact checker covers the displayed torsor algebra, one generic witness,
finite-field realisations for all 23,941 projective functionals over
F_2,F_3,F_5,F_7, one F_11 witness, the characteristic-3 identities, and
selected simple-root statistics. It does not encode the Dubouloz–Finston
theorem, mixed Hodge theory, the full geometric stratification, or the
surjectivity argument.

Normal replay and all regenerated CSVs match the recorded evidence.
Optimized mode fails closed, positive resultant fixtures pass, and a
deliberately ablated point-count formula is rejected.

No independent external reproduction, external human review of the complete
manuscript, literature-based novelty determination, peer review, or
end-to-end formalisation is documented. Issues, counterexamples, source
corrections, and independent checks are invited.

Except where otherwise indicated, original repository contents are offered
under CC0 1.0 Universal to the extent the affirmer holds the relevant rights.
Third-party citations and materials retain their own terms.
