The first release that can stand in for the Windows taskbar.
Windows installers only. They are not code-signed, so SmartScreen warns on first run. Linux and macOS packages are not in this release.
Added
- Taskbar replacement. Replace mode hides the Windows taskbar and reserves the dock's screen edge. Auto-hide and keep-the-taskbar modes remain available.
- Apps on the dock. Pinned apps and open windows, grouped by app, with click to switch and click again to minimise.
- Live window previews. Right-click an app to preview, switch, close, open a new window, or pin it.
- Start launcher, volume, and quick actions.
- Welcome setup and an Apps & taskbar settings page.
- Fourteen widgets, a local SQLite store, Automation Studio, read-only calendars, and a Privacy Ledger.
- Taskbar restore. A guard process restores the taskbar if OpenDock crashes, and the uninstaller restores it too.
- Three more dock styles. Minimal, Neon and Ink sit alongside Glass, Solid and Midnight.
- A scrolling apps row when the dock reaches the edge of the screen. Reduced motion skips the animation.
- The website follows the system colour scheme, with a Light, Dark and System control.
Changed
- Settings move to version 4. Older settings files are migrated automatically.
