What's Fixed

  • Screen Recording permission not detected — The app now uses the correct macOS API to register itself in Privacy & Security and trigger the system permission dialog on first use. Previously, the permission toggle in System Settings appeared to have no effect.
  • Quit & Relaunch button — The permission alert now includes a "Quit & Relaunch" button so you can apply the granted permission in one click.

How to Update

  1. Download TextSnap.dmg below
  2. Open the DMG and drag TextSnap to Applications (replace the existing version)
  3. Launch TextSnap

If you were previously stuck in a permission loop, press Cmd+Shift+2 after updating. The system shows a permission dialog — click Allow, then Quit & Relaunch.
