What's Fixed
- Permission dialog appeared on every launch — The system Screen Recording dialog now appears only when you first press ⌘⇧2, not at every startup.
- "Quit & Relaunch" did not restart the app — Fixed by switching to the proper macOS API (
NSWorkspace.openApplication). The button now reliably relaunches TextSnap. - Infinite permission loop — The system dialog and the in-app alert no longer appear at the same time, which was causing the permission to never actually be applied.
How to Update
- Download TextSnap.dmg below
- Open the DMG and drag TextSnap to Applications (replace the existing version)
- Launch TextSnap from Applications
First-Time Setup After Update
- Press ⌘⇧2 — a system dialog will appear asking for Screen Recording access
- Click "Open System Settings" in that dialog
- Enable the toggle for TextSnap
- Click "Quit & Relaunch" in the TextSnap alert (or use the "Quit & Reopen" button macOS shows in System Settings)
- Press ⌘⇧2 again — it should work
