POLYDESK v0.5.5
What's new in v0.5.5
New
- Switching to LIVE now warns when Polymarket shows no trading approval for your wallet yet,
with the step that usually fixes it. The warning also reaches the app when it connects
after LIVE has started.
Changed
- Setup guide: the welcome page, the licence step and the wallet-key step now describe
costs, the optional licence key and where your key is stored more precisely, and the
balance step no longer lists payment methods. Its first confirmation step appears once
more on your next start. - Wallet-key step: the button now reads STORE KEY and fits on one line.
- Licence messages in ⚙ Settings and the licence-expiry notice now name the Free tier.
- The built-in beta licence has been extended. ⚙ Settings → LICENCE shows the new end date.
Improved
- Installed Apps and Programs and Features now show the same publisher name as the
installer's signature. - The setup guide now asks when you created your Polymarket account before asking how you
log in, so older email and browser-wallet accounts get the right wallet type even when
your Polymarket profile cannot be reached. - The setup guide says plainly when Polymarket lists a different wallet for your key, names
that wallet and tells you where to enter it before trading LIVE, instead of showing it as
recognised. A wallet address that could not be confirmed now reads as unconfirmed, and
older browser-wallet accounts are found even when you are unsure of the account's age. - Hints, messages and help texts across the setup guide, Settings, the ladder and the user
guide read more naturally, with the same meaning as before.
Notes
- The manual's start page and About now say that the manual was drafted with AI assistance,
and that the app is the authority wherever the two disagree. - Updating from an earlier version keeps your settings, limits, wallet setup and session
history. The app's data folder is renamed on first start; nothing needs to be redone.
Install notes
- macOS: downloaded builds trigger Gatekeeper's "polydesk.app is
damaged and can't be opened" dialog (quarantine on an unsigned app,
not actual damage). Dragpolydeskto Applications, then run once:
xattr -cr /Applications/polydesk.app - Windows: the installer is signed by itereon GmbH. SmartScreen may still show
Windows protected your PC while the publisher builds reputation. Check that
the dialog names itereon GmbH as the publisher, then "More info" → "Run anyway". - First run: the setup guide walks you through; the BUILT-IN
engine starts automatically (paper mode, zero configuration;
this beta is sidecar-only). Live trading: ⚙ Settings → ACCOUNT
(wallet key in the OS keychain; releases contain no credentials),
then the top-bar PAPER/LIVE pill.
POLYDESK v0.5.4
What's new in v0.5.4
Improved
- Windows installers and the app are now digitally signed; the Windows security prompt names
the publisher. - The Windows installer and its uninstaller now carry the POLYDESK icon instead of the
generic installer symbol.
Fixed
- Consistent title casing across the app and status windows.
- Updating on Windows while the built-in engine is still running: the installer now
waits for the engine to stop instead of failing on a locked file.
Install notes
- macOS: downloaded builds trigger Gatekeeper's "polydesk.app is
damaged and can't be opened" dialog (quarantine on an unsigned app —
not actual damage). Dragpolydeskto Applications, then run once:

POLYDESK v0.5.3
What's new in v0.5.3
Improved
- Market picker rows now show what distinguishes each market (for example "Set 2
Winner" or "O/U 4.5") instead of repeating the match title; the full question
stays in the tooltip. - A market type with a single market appears as one tagged row; type tags and
volumes are aligned in columns and easier to read. - Market counts in the picker are loaded up front — no more rows reading "all game
markets" while others show a number; "counting markets…" appears only briefly. - The market explorer uses the same labels and type tags.
Install notes (unsigned binaries)
- macOS: downloaded builds trigger Gatekeeper's "polydesk.app is
damaged and can't be opened" dialog (quarantine on an unsigned app —
not actual damage). Dragpolydeskto Applications, then run once:

POLYDESK v0.5.2
What's new in v0.5.2
New
- An expanded event in the market picker lists its markets in the same order as the
Polymarket game page: the main market first, then moneyline, spread, totals and
the other groups. More side markets are found, for example corners and player
props.
Changed
- Clicking the PX column recenters the ladder; placing an order from that column can
be restored in ⚙ Settings → LADDER VIEW. - The ladder's vertical direction follows the display mode: the displayed value
always rises toward the top, in POLYMARKET view as in EXCHANGE view. - Fat-finger protection defaults to no limit; an empty field means unlimited. Limits
you set are enforced as before.
Fixed
- Recentering (⊙, PX click and auto-center) now lands on the current mid price on
every price grid; on 0.01 grids it used to settle several ticks below. - The picker shows one final market count per event instead of a number that
changed after expanding. - Position and P&L figures right after a fill no longer flip back to stale values;
hedge orders adapt to the size that can actually be sold.
Install notes (unsigned binaries)
- macOS: downloaded builds trigger Gatekeeper's "polydesk.app is
damaged and can't be opened" dialog (quarantine on an unsigned app —
not actual damage). Dragpolydeskto Applications, then run once:

POLYDESK v0.5.1
What's new in v0.5.1
New
- The user manual: "? GUIDE" in the footer opens the full English manual with
screenshots inside the app; "OPEN IN BROWSER" shows the same pages beside the
cockpit.
Changed
- Automatic updates and the ★ FEEDBACK form use new, more reliable infrastructure.
Existing installs update as usual; nothing to do.
Fixed
- The window opens at its saved size and position without a maximized flash; the
first start opens maximized. - Sections of the bottom panel no longer grow beyond their column when their content
is wide. - Crash reports from the app window are delivered again.
Install notes (unsigned binaries)
- macOS: downloaded builds trigger Gatekeeper's "polydesk.app is
damaged and can't be opened" dialog (quarantine on an unsigned app —

POLYDESK v0.5.0
What's new in v0.5.0
New
- Public beta: every install includes a beta licence valid until 31 October 2026 —
no licence key needed. - The PAPER/LIVE switch lives in the top bar, with a confirmation step.
- ⚙ Settings is the one place for wallet, licence and fat-finger protection;
changed limits apply immediately. - EXCHANGE view groups the ladder into 2-decimal rows; the ladder follows a market's
tick size change live, and a "1.00" row lets you exit after the change. - ★ FEEDBACK in the footer: rate the beta and leave a note anonymously.
Improved
- The notifications bell opens a dropdown instead of a modal.
- The footer status is simpler: the ENGINE signal also covers the fill feed.
- Anonymous crash reporting now covers the built-in engine as well.
