ChromIQ v3.14.8-beta.14

- See how a print turned out without measuring it again (#134). When a chart
already has a measurement, the Measure tab can now paint that measurement onto
the patches in the preview — each patch split between the colour the chart
expected and what your instrument actually measured, with the far-off ones
outlined. Turn it on with the new "Show overlay from existing measurement" box,
which appears whenever a measurement (.ti3) is found for the loaded chart. - Loading a chart that already has a measurement now offers both choices up
front. Instead of a plain yes/no, a friendly dialog lets you tick "Show it as
an overlay" and/or "Refine / resume this measurement" — with a clear warning
that starting a fresh measurement without resume will replace the existing
one. Your last choice is remembered. - A mid-chart instrument hiccup no longer throws away the strips you already
measured (#134). If ChromIQ's own measuring engine fails partway through a
chart, it now continues on ArgyllCMS's chartread resuming from where you left
off — keeping every strip already read — instead of ending the run. The
partial measurement is backed up first, so your readings are safe no matter
what. (When nothing had been measured yet, it still restarts cleanly as before.) - The scanner-profiling checkbox in the "All Stripes Read" dialog now shows the
tab's own accent colour when ticked or hovered, instead of the system blue. - All of the above is fully translated into every supported language.
Installation (Linux, beta): Download the tarball for your architecture (x86_64 for most desktops/laptops, aarch64 for ARM systems like Raspberry Pi 4/5). Extract with tar xzf ChromIQ-Linux-*.tar.gz, then run ./ChromIQ/ChromIQ. Requires ArgyllCMS — install via your package manager (sudo apt install argyll) or from argyllcms.com/downloadlinux.html.
☕ ChromIQ is free and always will be — if it saves you time or ink, a coffee is a kind way to say thanks. Completely optional, and the app stays fully featured either way.
