Aiming help for the CR30, a legend that gets out of your way, and the layout
controls where the help says they are.

New

See where the instrument will sit. A CR30 is placed on each patch by hand,
and its 33 mm body hides the patch the moment you lower it — so you cannot look
at what you are aiming at while you aim. The preview now draws that body to
scale, dashed, on the patch you are being asked for: line it up on screen, note
which neighbours it covers, and put the instrument down so those same neighbours
are evenly covered. A second, much smaller circle appears only when there is a
problem — the 4 mm measuring opening, shown when the patch is too small for it,
in which case part of every reading is the neighbouring patch. Both figures come
from the manufacturer's own specification. The option is in the Measure tab's
live-preview section and appears for the CR30 only.
A Bluetooth report, for when the instrument will not connect. Tools →
Instruments. It looks at what your computer's Bluetooth can see, whether
anything is offering the service a CR30 uses, and whether ChromIQ's own search
accepts it — so the three cases can be told apart instead of guessed at. It
writes a file you can send. Nothing it does can disturb your instrument: it is
never asked to measure and never asked to calibrate.

Changed

The legend fades out when you point at it, so you can see the patches
underneath. It sits in the bottom paper margin, but on a chart whose patches run
to the edge it has to rest on the last row — now it simply gets out of the way.
Patch size and Patch scale have moved into Basic, next to "Prioritise patch
size", where the help has always said they were. They were in Expert Options,
collapsed, while the other layout method showed its settings in plain sight.

Fixed

• "Prioritise chart area" now honours your left margin. A 7.5 mm band for
  the row numbers was reserved OUTSIDE it, so a 1 mm margin put the first patch
  at 8.5 mm. The row numbers now sit inside the margin, and the panel warns when
  it is too tight for them.
• The margin readout says what it measures — "Left (to first patch)" — and
  explains the two things that legitimately sit in that space.
• A flagged patch keeps its whole red ring. On a hexagonal chart the
  neighbouring patch was painted over part of it.
• Loading a new chart no longer shows the previous chart's measurements.
• The legend no longer lands at the top of the sheet, over the column
  letters, on charts whose strip geometry is not recorded.

Known issues

• Over Bluetooth the learning step asks for TWO presses with the cap on, not
  one, and does not yet say so while it waits.
• Bluetooth has still only been used successfully on macOS. If it will not
  connect for you, the new report under Tools → Instruments is what to send.

Installation (Linux, beta): Download the tarball for your architecture (x86_64 for most desktops/laptops, aarch64 for ARM systems like Raspberry Pi 4/5).
