A Windows fix for verification and From Profile Gamut charts. On Windows, ArgyllCMS saves a profile with the ending .icm instead of .icc, and parts of ChromIQ only looked for .icc.
Fixed
- Windows: a run whose profile was saved as .icm was treated as having no profile (forum report). Choosing Run type Verification refused every measurement with "This run has no profile to verify yet", and From Profile Gamut refused the run, although the profile had been built. ChromIQ now finds the run's profile whether it ends in .icc or .icm (the newer one when both exist), for verification, From Profile Gamut, rebuilding a profile and keeping the earlier one, and ChromIQ's own profile engine.
- A chart whose name ends in digits could be confused with one of its page files. A leftover page file such as
<name>_01no longer stands in for a multi-page chart that has its own chart file, which on Windows filled the log with "could not stamp chart meta.json" warnings.
Installation (Linux, beta): Download the tarball for your architecture (x86_64 for most desktops/laptops, aarch64 for ARM systems like Raspberry Pi 4/5). Extract with tar xzf ChromIQ-Linux-*.tar.gz, then run ./ChromIQ/ChromIQ. Requires ArgyllCMS — install via your package manager (sudo apt install argyll) or from argyllcms.com/downloadlinux.html.
☕ ChromIQ is free and always will be — if it saves you time or ink, a coffee is a kind way to say thanks. Completely optional, and the app stays fully featured either way.
