This release contains a critical version reporting fix that resolves a false update prompt on launch.

🐛 Bug Fixes

  • Version Display Fix: Fixed a bug where the app incorrectly identified itself as v1.2.0 at runtime due to a missing MARKETING_VERSION bump in the build configuration. The app now correctly reports v1.3.1.
  • False Update Prompt Resolved: As a side effect of the version mismatch, users on v1.3.0 were shown a spurious "update available" prompt pointing to the same release. This is now resolved — the update checker will only notify when a genuinely newer version is available on GitHub.

📦 Installation

  1. Download Chess.com.dmg from this release (or find it directly in your local Downloads folder).
  2. Open the DMG and drag Chess.com to your Applications folder.
