Any way to fix this? The essential mod isn't even in the pack

I have an image build going that'll temporarily remove essential-mod from the global exclusions list. It is the processing of that list that arrives at the reported error:

Likely a dependency. See if adding it to the exclusions gets past it.

I have exactly the same error since today with modpack Stoneblock 4

I've solved my problem by using this image:

image: itzg/minecraft-server:stable-java21

There seems to be a problem with the latest ones

It starts fine for me. I'm guessing you have the opposite problem with the image -- you probably didn't re-pull latest in quite a while. Be sure to use docker compose pull and then docker compose up -d to reapply. Or you can add a pull policy like:

By pointing to "stable-java21" I'm assuming that's an image you didn't have cached yet on your system, so it would have pulled a fresh build of it.

Actually...something is strange on CurseForge's end with the lookup of that mod. I have submitted a help ticket with them.

BTW, @HamFriedRice , the syntax of the value you used for CF_EXCLUDE_MODS is wrong. It needs to be comma or newline delimited, not space delimited

Use this

      CF_EXCLUDE_MODS: "colorwheel,colorwheel-patcher"

or

      CF_EXCLUDE_MODS: |
        colorwheel
        colorwheel-patcher
