Download
Download PunchMe-0.9.0-macOS-arm64.zip, unzip it, and move PunchMe.app to Applications. The companion LGPL-sources.zip is for developers and library modifications; it is not needed to run the app. SHA256SUMS verifies the published assets.
Requirements: macOS 26 or later, Apple Silicon, and a MacBook with an accessible compatible AppleSPU accelerometer. An M-series chip alone does not guarantee sensor support. The sensor interface is undocumented and can vary across models and OS versions.
The app is ad-hoc signed, not Apple notarized. See the installation guide for macOS's per-app Open Anyway flow and action permissions.
How it works
PunchMe reads acceleration from the built-in motion sensor, removes the slow gravity baseline, detects short impulses above the noise floor, and waits for the final tap count. A double tap runs the double-tap action once; four or more taps are ignored. It does not use a microphone, camera, or separate left/right touch sensors.

Validation
Offscreen tests, actual native compilation, packaged source inclusion, arm64 dependency deployment targets, and the final ad-hoc signature were checked. Interface previews use simulated data and the Qt fallback. Native compositor appearance and compatibility across all MacBook models are not established by those checks.
PunchMe source is MIT licensed. Dependency licenses, corresponding LGPL sources, and instructions for using modified libraries are included.
