folkctl 0.2.1

Fix task boolean validation in the distributed CLI and update the bundled companion installer to the patched source.

  • Invalid separated task boolean values now fail validation before any request is sent. For example, --is-public maybe no longer becomes isPublic: true. This also covers task updates and the --only-assigned-to-me filter.
  • Bare flags, negated flags, and explicit true/false values remain supported.
  • Bundled companion skill 0.2.2 targets CLI 0.2.1 and pins both installation paths to 4a9c2af28427432beee018561f5f43e3ecfc2645. That commit's CLI source and package metadata are identical to this release; the release also includes the updated skill documentation.

Install this GitHub release:

npm install -g --ignore-scripts github:j-edel/folkctl#v0.2.1
folkctl --version

Expected CLI version: 0.2.1. The attached tarball is also installable with npm. GitHub remains the CLI distribution channel. The companion skill is published as ClawHub folk-cli 0.2.2; a fresh default ClawHub installation and its clean version security scan were verified.

Validation: 75 tests pass, including task boolean regressions; GitHub CI passes on Node 20, 22, and 24 for the final merge commit. Fresh tarball and pinned-source installations pass seven offline behavior checks each, with zero CRM requests. The package contains 34 intended files and has no runtime dependencies or installation lifecycle scripts.

Tarball SHA-256: 9dd265e607f46dbe1e3213451276f618d07da77e925e3a6d824d1ea1a6274bf6.

Release preparation: PR #3. Final merge CI.

folkctl 0.2.0

folkctl 0.2.0 adds support for Folk's updated REST API and setup helpers for its official OAuth MCP server.

  • Tasks: create, read, update, delete, complete, and reopen; entity/assignment filters, recurrence, and due times.
  • Interactions: past/upcoming history, detail retrieval, and editing/deleting manually logged interactions.
  • Groups: creation and editing, member management, and custom field management.
  • Custom objects, full-text note search, creation-date filters, and person gender flags.
  • mcp info and mcp config snippets for Codex, Claude, Cursor, VS Code, and Windsurf. These are offline setup helpers; OAuth runs in the MCP client.
  • Reminder deprecation guidance, compatibility aliases, and an updated OpenClaw/ClawHub companion skill.
  • Fixes for multiword object searches and group visibility filtering when the API ignores the query parameter.

Install the exact reviewed release commit (Node.js 20 or newer):

npm install -g --ignore-scripts github:j-edel/folkctl#1f981dcdea7a6422f0c7fe67085ef75f4fdd3e55
folkctl --version

The attached folkctl-0.2.0.tgz is also installable with npm install -g --ignore-scripts /path/to/folkctl-0.2.0.tgz.

The companion ClawHub skill has a separate 0.2.1 patch that pins its installer to this CLI 0.2.0 commit. That skill-only change was reviewed and merged in PR #2; it supersedes the 0.2.0 skill bundled in the original tarball without changing the CLI executable.

Validation: 49 tests pass, CI passes on Node 20/22/24, and the endpoint catalog is checked against all 57 public operations in Folk's OpenAPI document. Live read-only checks cover the new reads; mutation paths were checked with dry-runs and mocked responses. Live MCP/OAuth authentication was not exercised. The merged source produces the same SHA-256 as the tested release tarball.

Tarball SHA-256: f1d774435d725ad95965f8f4dbc031a49c9a5789e1991d609a4f261eb6104023.

Reviewed and merged in PR #1. Full changes are in CHANGELOG.md.
