Citizen 0.7.8 — Terrain, sky performance and stable planet transitions
Citizen 0.7.8 combines the terrain, performance, multiplayer docking and departure fixes developed since 0.7.7. Unpublished local candidate numbers 0.7.8–0.7.14 are consolidated into this release.
- Walk across real rolling hills and shallow crater bowls, with protected pole routes and shared terrain collision.
- Bound sky occlusion queries, cull off-screen planets and add opt-in private CPU/GPU diagnostics. Native FPS acceptance remains pending; no sustained-60-FPS claim is made.
- Keep pointer lock stable during right-click charging; synchronize fresh-room docking revisions and show actionable docking failures.
- Reuse one planet per anonymous multiplayer hub, preserving graph and wall motion.
- Refresh ship departure obstacles, reserve clearance and recover exact-center overlaps without corrective input.
Multiplayer compatibility: room/checkpoint protocol 15 replaces 14. Every player must update. The plugin ID remains citizen; saved settings are preserved and private note data stays local.
Requires desktop Obsidian 1.7.2 or newer. Update through your existing Citizen updater, or copy main.js, manifest.json and styles.css from the ZIP into your vault's .obsidian/plugins/citizen folder, then reload the plugin. Do not copy settings from another player.
Validation and native acceptance limits: release verification. Assets include the three plugin files, citizen-0.7.8.zip and SHA256SUMS.txt.
Local testers: builds previously numbered 0.7.9–0.7.14 were unpublished candidates. Install 0.7.8 manually once, since an updater will not offer a lower version number. Public 0.7.7 installations can update normally.
Citizen 0.7.7
Citizen 0.7.7 keeps displayed patrols grounded on the rendered planet terrain and updates Pilot docking controls.
- Keep left-click as the flight fire control. Hold F for 1.5 seconds to dock; J no longer docks. Surface-mode F still returns to the ship.
- Set the shared HUD and authoritative docking limit to 14 world units. Docking progress resets on release, target changes, or lost readiness.
- Preserve authoritative patrol state, the citizen plugin ID, saved settings, room protocol 14, and checkpoint format 14.
The release includes main.js, manifest.json, styles.css, citizen-0.7.7.zip, SHA256SUMS.txt, and build-provenance attestations. Install the three plugin files or the ZIP contents into /.obsidian/plugins/citizen/. Requires desktop Obsidian 1.7.2 or newer.
Citizen 0.7.6
Citizen 0.7.6 resolves the earlier display-name rejection and cleans up source and CSS review warnings.
- Keep the citizen plugin ID, saved settings, room protocol 14, and checkpoint format 14.
- Use typed network/statistics boundaries, Obsidian DOM helpers, explicit HTTP adapters, and current spatial-audio parameters.
- Replace flagged CSS rules while preserving Hangar, HUD, and room controls.
- Keep note metadata local and copy room codes only on user action.
Install the three attached files (main.js, manifest.json, styles.css) into /.obsidian/plugins/citizen/. ZIP/checksums are available as workflow artifacts. Requires desktop Obsidian 1.7.2 or newer. See docs/verification-0.7.6.md for checks and runtime limits.
OB Citizen 0.7.5
OB Citizen 0.7.5 publishes the directory compliance source fixes while retaining the maintainer's selected OB Citizen display name and the citizen plugin ID.
- Move the player-indicator arrow reset into CSS; preserve offscreen rotation with a CSS custom property.
- Remove the redundant settings heading and name the command Open graph, since Obsidian already prefixes it with the plugin name.
- Point authorUrl at the maintainer's GitHub profile and enable repository issues for support.
- Schedule and cancel Hangar animation frames on the panel's owning window.
- Preserve settings, gameplay, room protocol 14, and checkpoint format 14.
The directory branch preview verified the technical fixes. Its separate naming check has rejected OB Citizen; retaining this name does not claim approval or an exception. The live release review remains the acceptance check.
Install main.js, manifest.json, and styles.css into /.obsidian/plugins/citizen/, or extract citizen-0.7.5.zip there. SHA256SUMS.txt records the asset hashes. Requires desktop Obsidian 1.7.2 or newer. See README.md, CHANGELOG.md, and docs/verification-0.7.5.md.
OB Citizen 0.7.4
OB Citizen 0.7.4 updates the plugin's display name across the manifest, commands, tab title, settings, messages, build banner, documentation, and release workflow.
- The plugin ID stays
citizen, so existing Citizen installations keep their settings and update in place. - The repository URL stays the same. Historical releases and their original packages remain available.
- Gameplay, room protocol 14, and checkpoint format 14 are unchanged from 0.7.3, including the patrol terrain-grounding fix.
Install main.js, manifest.json, and styles.css in <vault>/.obsidian/plugins/citizen/, or extract citizen-0.7.4.zip there. SHA256SUMS.txt records the asset hashes. Requires desktop Obsidian 1.7.2 or newer.
All 238 automated tests and the production build with TypeScript checking pass. See README.md, CHANGELOG.md, and docs/verification-0.7.4.md. GitHub release availability does not imply Community directory approval.
OB Citizen 0.7.3
Obsidian Citizen 0.7.3 fixes patrol bot rendering over uneven terrain. The displayed bot pose now follows the arena's terrain elevation throughout interpolation instead of flattening to the planet's base radius. Authoritative bot state and multiplayer protocol 14 are unchanged.
- Fix East Patrol appearing partly buried or too high as it moves between latitudes with different terrain height.
- Add a regression that checks seven interpolated poses across a seeded equatorward terrain-height change.
- Keep room protocol and checkpoint format at 14. Use version 0.7.3 on all clients to receive the display fix.
- Continue to use the independent
citizenplugin ID. See the README for migration from the historicalconstellation-graphID.
Install main.js, manifest.json, and styles.css in <vault>/.obsidian/plugins/citizen/, or extract citizen-0.7.3.zip there. SHA256SUMS.txt records the asset hashes. Requires desktop Obsidian 1.7.2 or newer.
All 238 automated tests, TypeScript checking, production build, and network-harness build pass. Native visual/gameplay acceptance and cross-computer connectivity have not been verified. See docs/verification-0.7.3.md and CHANGELOG.md. GitHub release availability does not imply Community directory approval.
OB Citizen 0.7.2
Obsidian Citizen 0.7.2 adds shared planet combat and pose-preserving ten-kill rounds. It is an independent MIT fork of Hunter / JusVibin’s Constellation Graph; original copyright notices remain.
- Four slow bots patrol occupied planets in solo and multiplayer. They attack visible players after a short delay, pursue their attacker briefly when damaged, and lose interest when line of sight breaks.
- Defeating a bot drops one +30 health pickup. Bot kills do not add player score or appear in the player elimination feed.
- Health pickups show +25, +50, or +30; shield pickups have a recognizable shield silhouette.
- Player eliminations share one ten-kill win target across ship and surface combat. Bot kills do not count toward the round.
- Victory freezes combat for the existing supernova transition. The next round keeps pilots at their existing space pose or docked planet position and facing, with transient combat cleared.
- Protocol and checkpoint format are 14. All room participants need 0.7.2. This changes compatibility with older rooms.
- Independent
citizenplugin ID. Existing testers can copy the oldconstellation-graph/data.jsonintocitizen/while Obsidian is closed; disable the old plugin first and keep a backup. See the README.
Install main.js, manifest.json, and styles.css in <vault>/.obsidian/plugins/citizen/, or extract the ZIP there. SHA256SUMS.txt records checksums. Requires desktop Obsidian 1.7.2 or newer.
All 237 automated tests, typecheck, production build, and network-harness build passed. Native visual/gameplay acceptance and cross-computer connectivity have not been verified. See docs/verification-0.7.2.md and CHANGELOG.md. The historical 0.3.x and 0.5.1–0.7.1 releases remain available. GitHub release availability does not imply Community directory approval.
OB Citizen 0.7.1
Obsidian Citizen 0.7.1
- Strengthen actual terrain relief and shorten pole transition blending while preserving elevation and slope limits.
- Project linked-wall targets out of protected routes, steer around permanent ruins, and unify placement/motion clearance distances.
- Add minimum-relief and measurable blocked-wall movement regressions; preserve static ruins, controls, movement, weapons, and settings.
- Terrain format 2, room/checkpoint protocol 13; mixed older versions are rejected.
Install
Download main.js, manifest.json, and styles.css, or extract Obsidian-Citizen-0.7.1.zip into <vault>/.obsidian/plugins/constellation-graph/ with Obsidian closed. Back up your existing plugin and settings first. These original files retain the historical constellation-graph ID. All multiplayer participants need the same version. Requires desktop Obsidian 1.7.2 or newer.
Verification and provenance
The original packaged files are preserved byte-for-byte. ZIP integrity, exact three-file membership, manifest version, private-path/credential-marker scan, and SHA-256 hashes were checked. Native Obsidian gameplay and cross-computer acceptance remain unverified for these archived candidates; see the version-specific verification document in the main branch.
This release restores a previously packaged update that was not committed separately at development time. Its tag records the recovered release files, license, and version notes; a matching historical TypeScript source snapshot is unavailable. GitHub's generated source archive contains this recovered package, not a reconstructed source history. The current development source will be committed with the upcoming completed update.
Independent MIT fork maintained by J117W3, based on Hunter / JusVibin's Constellation Graph. Original copyright notice preserved. No Community directory approval is implied.

OB Citizen 0.6.8
Obsidian Citizen 0.6.8
- Generate exactly two separated walls per unique linked file, retaining reciprocal/self-link deduplication and anonymous associations. The six-file Smoke Hub has twelve physical and rendered walls. Keep the existing radius formula based on file count, with no additional cover cap.
- Drive cover toward the live file bearings on the sphere at 0.8 surface units per second. Keep exit/pickup clearance, avoid overlapping walls, and stop before standing, crouched or leaning players. Preserve immutable geometry identity, radius, pickup layout and consumed-pickup timers while moving.
- Update existing solid instances and wire outlines together; maintain collision indices incrementally rather than rebuilding scene geometry every frame. Add deterministic instanced mineral scree as low-profile walk-over ground detail.
- Publish bounded compact host cover poses near players separately from acknowledged immutable geometry; predict distant presentation from anonymous graph positions. Preserve current collision poses on checkpoint migration and deduplicate repeated geometry definitions in bounded reliable transfers.
- Bump plugin to 0.6.8 and room/checkpoint contracts to 11; reject incompatible rooms/checkpoints. Keep settings schema 5, movement and weapon balance unchanged.
