reverse-mcp v1.0.0
First stable release of reverse-mcp: a static-analysis MCP (Model Context Protocol) server for IDA Pro. Static analysis only — samples are never executed.
Highlights
- 36 MCP tools over stdio and HTTP: functions, CFGs, disassembly, Hex-Rays decompilation/microcode, xrefs, data/constants, strings, deep analysis, deobfuscation hints, and value tracking
- Hierarchical large-function analysis (#72): complexity preflight, virtual CFG regions, region evidence via isolated one-shot workers with hard timeouts, resumable cross-region dataflow
- WASM support (#71):
ida_wasmtool combining IDA's native WASM loader with a standalone parser (rmcp-wasm); br_if rendering crash fixed - Hard resource isolation: per-call worker pool, one-shot isolated workers with Windows Job Object kill-on-close, leak-probe tests, zero-orphan guarantees
- Toolchain: pinned Rust, vendored idalib-sys (IDA 9.2), doctor/version gates, ABI probe
Package
reverse-mcp-v1.0.0-windows-x86_64.zip— single-exe server (idalib-enabled, IDA 9.2 required on the host)reverse-mcp-v1.0.0-windows-x86_64.zip.sha256— SHA-256 checksum
Validation
- Full gate suite: fast + real-IDA (21/21) + Tier-A/Tier-B acceptance + WASM + large-function + corpus e2e (20+ binaries)
- Guarded soak: 12h + 24h on the frozen release commit — 1984 soak iterations, 0 failures, 0 orphans, 0 resource-guard violations
See RELEASE_CHECKLIST.md and LIMITATIONS.md in the package for setup and known limitations.
