Preparing The Wooden Box
The easiest way to drill the correct holes into the wooden box is to printout the design in this repo. You can then use masking tape to temporarily stick this to your wooden box.
You should drill a 16mm hole for each button, and a 14mm hole for each switch. The following diagram shows the positions of the buttons (circles) and the switches (rectangles), cross reference this with the printout you have taped to the lid of the wooden box so you know which size hole to drill.
You should end up drilling 10 x 16mm holes and 9 x 14mm holes
Drill four 14mm holes close to the edges of the rectangle LCD on the provided template. Then you need to insert a small saw into the wood (a jigsaw would be ideal), slowly cut out the rectangle (the cut needs to be as accurate as possible).
At this point you will want to drill four 4mm holes to hold the LCD screen in place. Underneath the lid of the wooden box you have drilled into, hold the LCD screen into place and make four markings where the LCD screen has screw holes in.
Drill out these holes with a 4mm drill bit. Once this is done, get your 4 M4 screws and bolts and you can attach the LCD screen like this
Finally you can attach the buttons and switches to the lid of the wooden box. Simply put them in the holes they fit in, and screw them in using the provided attachments. Once finished the back of the wooden panel should look like this:
