Wii U Transfer 1.1.1

@jackharvest jackharvest released this 13 Sep 21:14

A small fix for Mac downloads.

What's fixed

  • The Mac download opens again. Version 1.1.0 was packaged with a broken signature, so macOS treated a downloaded copy as damaged and never offered Open Anyway. It's signed properly now. Nothing else has changed.

Downloads

  • Apple Silicon (M1 and newer): Wii-U-Transfer-1.1.1-mac-arm64.dmg
  • Intel Macs: Wii-U-Transfer-1.1.1-mac-x64.dmg

The app isn't notarized by Apple yet, so the first time you open it macOS will block it. Click Done, then go to System Settings → Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway. Keep it in Applications so it can update itself.

The .zip files and latest-mac.yml are what the built-in updater uses. You don't need them.

The first public release.

What's new

  • Posters. Your library shows each game's own boot artwork and icon, straight from its files. Click a poster to select the whole game.
  • Plain-English labels. Ready to install and Needs repacking, with the community terms (WUP, decrypted) right beside them, plus a "What do these mean?" explainer.
  • Spare copies handled. If you have the same game in two folders, the app uses the better one and never sends it twice.
  • It updates itself. New versions download in the background, install when you're not busy, and roll back on their own if something goes wrong.
  • An intro, a welcome tour, and launch tunes. Pick your favorite in Settings.
  • Updates can be repacked over their base game, the way Nintendo builds them.
