Daemon Base is a flexible and configurable Rust daemon library for managing background services. This initial release provides core features, including:

  • Cross-platform support (Linux, macOS, Windows)
  • Lifecycle management (start, stop, restart, monitor)
  • Custom event callbacks (on_start, on_shutdown, etc.)
  • Logging and error handling
  • Optional async support (Tokio)
  • JSON-based configuration loading

This is an early pre-release and may undergo API changes before v1.0.0. Contributions, feedback, and testing are welcome!
