Terraforma Memory v0.3.0

@ubos-republic ubos-republic released this 03 Oct 06:43

First public release of Terraforma Memory: one private memory shared by Claude Code and Codex.

What's in it

  • MCP server over stdio with five tools: remember, recall, read_memory, recent, memory_status
  • Claude Code and Codex can share one memory directory at the same time
  • Every save is a hash-chained journal entry; updates keep earlier versions
  • Export, backup and restore with the same binary; uninstall never deletes memories
  • No network connections from the MCP server, no account, no telemetry

Install

One command, run inside your project folder (macOS arm64 or Linux x86-64, glibc 2.30+):

curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/janus-ubos-republic/terraforma-memory/main/lander.sh | sh

The Lander surveys the machine, downloads the right archive, checks it against checksums pinned in the script, installs to ~/.terraforma/terraforma-local-core and proves the program answers. No sudo, no service. In a terminal it asks before connecting Claude Code or Codex. To look first: sh lander.sh --dry-run.

By hand instead:

curl -fsSLO https://github.com/janus-ubos-republic/terraforma-memory/releases/download/v0.3.0/terraforma-local-core-0.3.0-macos-arm64.tar.gz
tar -xzf terraforma-local-core-0.3.0-macos-arm64.tar.gz
sh terraforma-local-core-0.3.0-macos-arm64/install.sh

Use ...-linux-x86-64.tar.gz on Linux. The installer verifies every file and prints the commands to connect Claude Code and Codex.

Checksums are in SHA256SUMS. Tested on macOS arm64 and Ubuntu x86-64 from a clean home directory.

Limits: word-based search (not semantic), up to 5,000 memories of 16 KB each, macOS binary not yet signed.
