  • The Git drawer's landing strip is called Auto-merge, and explains itself on a repository that has not set it up.
It used to show three status cells reading "Not configured · Idle · Queue clear" on every repository with no verification command - two cells of nothing beside the one that mattered, in a vocabulary you had to already know.
It now collapses to one line, AUTO-MERGE · not set up for this repository, and expanding it says what the feature does in plain terms: swe-mux merges the trunk into your branch, runs this repository's checks there, and merges the branch onto the trunk only if they pass - and if they fail, nothing moves.
Setting it up is one button, Copy setup prompt, which puts a prompt for an agent on the clipboard instead of filling the pane with the text of it; the full text is still one disclosure away, and the prompt still ends by telling that agent it cannot approve what it wrote.
The prompt sets up this repository, which is what it always did - the disclosure that said "setting this up in another repository" named the wrong one.
The verification editor no longer unfolds itself over a repository that has no command yet, because a form is not an explanation.
  • "Landing" is now "auto-merge" everywhere it is read.
The strip, the button on a worktree row, the bulk action, the Automation policy row, the Project authority rows and the Harnesses setup switch all say auto-merge; the word names what happens to the branch rather than this project's own jargon for it.
Nothing an agent, config file or keybinding names has changed: mux.request_land, /api/land, land_queue_enabled, land_grant, land_verify_grant and the palette command ids are all exactly as they were.
  • Settings → Diagnostics leads with the version you are running.
The section previously called "Software updates" is now swe-mux version, sits at the top of the tab, and states the running version outright rather than leaving you to infer it from "This is the latest release" - which says nothing while the update check is off, and reads the same on a copy that cannot reach the update manifest.
The switch, Check now and Install are unchanged and still there.
