v0.2.0
Upgrade notice
This release introduces brain format lumbrera-brain-v3. Existing v1 and v2 brains must be migrated before use with v0.2.0. Back up or commit your brain, install the new CLI, then run:
lumbrera migrate --brain /path/to/brain
lumbrera verify --brain /path/to/brainMigration creates the note artifacts, updates recognized unmodified bundled agent instructions, invalidates the search cache, and verifies the result. Customized or unrecognized agent files are preserved and reported for manual reconciliation. Failed migrations roll back touched paths.
Migration caveat: brains initialized with v0.1.0 can report AGENTS.md for manual reconciliation even when it is unmodified. Compare it with the v3 agent template and preserve any local customizations.
What's new
- Managed first-party notes: capture and update observations, decisions, experiments, and local conventions in
notes/throughlumbrera write, with a generatedNOTES.mdcatalog and bundledlumbrera-noteskill. - Notes as wiki evidence: wiki pages can cite sources, notes, or both. Checksums, tags, verification, and transactional deletion include notes.
- Search and health support: notes participate in indexing, search ranking, recommendations, and health checks; filter search with
--kind note. - Cascade cleanup: deleting source or note evidence updates dependent wiki pages and cleans links in surviving notes and wiki pages. Pages are cascade-deleted only when no evidence remains.
- One-line macOS/Linux installer: install the latest release using the command in the README.
Fixes
- Preserve Markdown formatting during cascade cleanup.
- Allow verification after cloning a brain whose empty
notes/directory was not tracked by Git. - Refine bundled query and note workflows.
