@javy-fernandez javy-fernandez released this 19 Oct 08:54

What's new

  • New data sources: MySQL, MariaDB and Oracle (Oracle needs the Oracle Instant Client installed; not yet tested against a real Oracle server, feedback welcome).
  • Read-only data sources: only queries run; editing and DDL are disabled.
  • SQL consoles: reformat code (⌥⌘L), toggle line comments (⌘/), duplicate / delete line, find and replace (⌘F / ⌘R), query history (⌥⌘E), explain plan (⇧⌘E) and cancel the running query.
  • Data editor: record view (⇧↩) and clone row (⌘D).
  • Database Explorer: rename and truncate tables, and import CSV / TSV files into a table (all or nothing, in one transaction).
  • Fixes: the column filter search box now filters the grid rows; right-side icons aligned.

Install

  • macOS: download DataCraft-0.3.0-universal.dmg (Apple Silicon and Intel, macOS 11+), open it and drag DataCraft to Applications. The app is not notarized, so the first time right-click DataCraft.app → Open, or run:
    xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/DataCraft.app

  • Windows: download DataCraft-0.3.0-windows-x64.zip (Windows 10/11, x64), unzip it and run DataCraft.exe (no installer). The exe is not signed, so SmartScreen may warn the first time: More info → Run anyway. Shortcuts use Ctrl / Alt instead of ⌘ / ⌥.

@javy-fernandez javy-fernandez released this 18 Oct 11:56

What's new

  • New Database and New Table dialogs, with a live preview of the generated SQL. Define columns with type, not null, primary key and default value. Open them from the Database Explorer's + menu or by right-clicking a connection, database, schema or table.
  • Drop databases, tables and views from the right-click menu, after a confirmation that shows the SQL. Dropping a database also requires typing its name.
  • The Cancel and Close buttons are now translated (they always appeared in Spanish).

Install
Download DataCraft-0.2.0-universal.dmg (Apple Silicon and Intel, macOS 11+), open it and drag DataCraft to Applications.

The app is not notarized, so macOS will block it the first time. Right-click DataCraft.app → Open, or run:

xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/DataCraft.app

Windows (experimental)
Download DataCraft-0.2.0-windows-x64.zip (Windows 10/11, x64), unzip it and run DataCraft.exe. It's a single executable, with no installer. It's built from main after the Windows support PR (#1, thanks @rsxdalv), cross-compiled from macOS and not yet tested on a real Windows machine. Feedback is welcome. The exe is not signed, so SmartScreen may warn the first time: click More info → Run anyway.
