Learn about vigilant mode.

first release of cluely-rs: a native, keyboard-driven assistant overlay for windows and macos.

download

file
windows 10 (2004+), 64-bit with avx2 CluelyRS-0.1.0-setup.exe
macos 13+, apple silicon CluelyRS-0.1.0.dmg

windows

run the setup exe. it installs for your account, with no admin prompt. it isn't code-signed, so:

  • "windows protected your pc": click more info, then run anyway.
  • if microsoft defender removes it, restore it from windows security → virus & threat protection → protection history (allow on device).

macos

open the dmg, drag CluelyRS onto applications, and open it from your applications folder (not from the dmg or downloads).

it isn't notarized by apple, so the first open is blocked. click done, then go to system settings → privacy & security, scroll to security, click open anyway next to the CluelyRS message, enter your password, and click open anyway again. on macos 13–14, control-click → open also works.

setup asks for microphone and screen & system audio recording. after you allow screen recording, use quit & reopen in setup.

check the download with shasum -a 256 -c CluelyRS-0.1.0.dmg.sha256.

full install, update and uninstall notes are in the readme.
