Settings Editor
What the desktop editor actually looks like, category by category. For what the settings mean, see Settings; for the authoritative list of every key, see the sample INI it links to. This page is the visual tour.
Open it with Ctrl+Alt+Shift+S, from the tray, or from Open Full Settings Editor on
the Quick Menu.
It is drivable without a mouse — the hint line under the title says how: D-pad navigates, A activates, LT/RT switch category, the right stick drives the pointer, RB is a pointer action, Y saves.
Save & Apply writes through a staged replacement, so the batch either lands whole or leaves the file untouched. Reload INI discards unsaved edits and re-reads from disk. The line at the bottom left tells you which state you are in.
Core shell behaviour and which modules appear in the Quick Menu, plus the accent colour and the two controller hold times.

The optional elevated helper, the Steam executable, and the boot splash — black, timed, or a video played through MPV. See Splash videos.

Up to twenty standard-user programs launched with the shell, with a delay before the first, a gap between each, and a window mode.

Mouse mode, deadzone, speed and scrolling, cursor hiding, and the input backend. See Mappings and Input recovery.

What the View/Back button does on a press that did not reach a mapping, plus the Steam menu, Quick Access and in-game overlay shortcuts.

The window engine — what counts as a game, how hard the shell works to keep it in front, and the exclusion lists. See Focus & scoring.

RTSS paths and shortcuts, DLL integration, and frame-cap behaviour. See RTSS frame cap.

Which launcher processes close after a game exits, which are protected, and how gracefully. See Launcher Cleanup.

Game-log detail, log rotation, and the two diagnostic switches — XInput slot logging and the RawInput probe. See Debugging.

No support is provided for SteamShell. Use at your own risk — it replaces the Windows shell.
Ctrl+Alt+Shift+E is the emergency restore.
