Correct rate-fix requirement: global override alone is sufficient Isolated the two rate mechanisms by disabling the per-device WirePlumber rule and testing the permanent global clock-rate override on its own: 20+ seconds of stable operation, correct rate negotiated on the hardware node, and a working audio link, with no per-device rule present. The earlier draft overstated that both were required — only the global override is; the per-device rule is now documented as an optional way to scope the rate change to just the radio's device instead of the whole system.
Document permanent PipeWire device-pinning fix for radio power-cycle audio Adds a recommended permanent method (WirePlumber rate pinning + ALSA asoundrc node pinning via playback_node/capture_node) that survives PipeWire's default-device drift after a radio power cycle, validated end-to-end against a real FT-710 power-off/power-on cycle. Written against the FT-710 but generalized: applies to any radio or USB audio device needing sample-rate correction and/or reconnect-proof routing. Keeps the existing pipewire [ALSA, 44.1k] + default-device method as a quicker, config-file-free fallback.
