Pinot 1.0.0 is the first stable Git-based release of Pinot, a Pi-native development workflow for personal coding projects.

Included

  • Six namespaced workflows: Spec, Plan, Implement, Debug, Debrief, and Janitor
  • Bounded read-only background subagents in five roles
  • Durable Herdr-backed implementation agents
  • A bounded test-suite runner
  • The package-owned Pinot Janitor skill
  • Agent-facing onboarding through PI-START-HERE.md

Install

pi install git:github.com/jbstavers/pinot-pi@v1.0.0

For a temporary trial:

pi -e git:github.com/jbstavers/pinot-pi@v1.0.0

After installation, ask Pi to read PI-START-HERE.md and follow its read-only onboarding review.

Requirements and limits

  • Node.js 22.19.0 or later
  • Herdr is installed separately and is required for /pinot-implement, all /pinot-janitor runs, and production fixes from /pinot-debug
  • Tested on macOS; other operating systems are unverified
  • Pinot supplies no provider or model defaults
  • This release is distributed from GitHub; it is not published to npm

Pi packages execute with the user's permissions. Review the source and SECURITY.md before installation.
