🐍 MIDI Snake

The old snake game, except the board is a bar of music — and everything you eat stays in your clip. Right-click any MIDI clip to play. Left to right is time, bottom to top is pitch, so the round you play IS the pattern.

  • Eat a note name and it is written at exactly that step — the loop plays it back straight away
  • Fully scale-aware — key, scale and tempo come from your set, and the board grows or shrinks with the scale (7-note, blues, pentatonic…)
  • Board length 1, 2 or 4 bars, pre-set from your clip
  • Triad bonus — collect the 1st, 3rd and 5th degree back to back
  • Ping-pong tempo — the snake breathes between 1/8 and 1/16 every two bars
  • Autopilot with three behaviours, so you can watch a pattern build itself
  • Three looks: ARPMAN, C64 and Arcade with scanlines
  • High score table — ten places, three letters, like the cabinets
  • Replace clip / Add to clip / Discard — nothing is overwritten behind your back
  • Update check — shows a notification when a new version is available
