ShelfSync v0.0.1 is the first public pre-release. It is early software: interfaces
and behavior may change between releases.

What is in this release

  • OPDS catalog browsing with authenticated access (HTTP Basic Auth, scoped to
    the configured server).
  • Verified downloads staged as .part files, hash-checked, then renamed
    atomically, with bounded-parallel bulk sync and live per-book progress.
  • Offline library state tracking (complete, downloading, failed, unavailable,
    superseded) with explicit reconciliation against the catalog. Files are never
    deleted automatically.
  • Credential handling: on Android the OPDS password is encrypted with a
    non-exportable key held in the Android Keystore; on desktop credentials stay in
    memory only.
  • E-Ink friendly UI: grouped browsing by series, author, tag, or date added,
    keyboard accessible and screen-reader labeled.

Not an e-reader

ShelfSync gets verified books onto your device; it does not render them. Reading
belongs to a separate app, and Leafline is
recommended.
