Daemons that become ready right away no longer print a brief "waiting" line when they start. This also stops that line from landing in a new shell's prompt when shell activation autostarts a daemon.

Fixed

  • Ready-check spinner appears only after 400ms (#1062) by @jdx. Previously, starting a daemon that is ready right away (for example, one with ready_delay = 0) briefly showed a line like ⠋ [global/mise-history] waiting for delay (0s).... With eval "$(pitchfork activate zsh)" autostarting such a daemon, that line showed up in a new shell's prompt. The spinner now stays hidden until the ready check has run for 400ms. Fast starts print only the final status line, and slower starts show the spinner as before.

Changed

  • The waiting, started, completed and failed progress lines now include a pitchfork: label, so you can tell which tool printed them. For example: pitchfork: [global/mise-history] started (#1062) by @jdx.
