Bug Fixes

  • Fixed self-update on Linux: Resolved "text file busy" (ETXTBSY) error that prevented automatic updates from completing
  • Improved binary replacement: Properly handles running executables by renaming before replacing
  • Fixed restart logic: Corrected restart methods that were broken in certain environments

Details

The self-update feature (U key) now works reliably:

  1. Downloads the new binary from GitHub releases
  2. Renames the running binary (which works even while executing)
  3. Copies the new binary to the original location
  4. Restarts the application using the best available method

Upgrade

From v0.6.4 or v0.6.5, press U when update is available, or manually:

go install github.com/jedarden/ccdash/cmd/ccdash@v0.6.6
