Fixes

• Muster no longer marks your ActiveCollab notifications as read in the background. ActiveCollab counts loading a task's full detail as "seen", and two places did that without you opening the task:
  • The notification poller loaded each task with new comments to check who wrote them. That check is off for now, so a comment you post yourself may show a Muster banner again.
  • The task strip above a linked chat thread now reads the task from the lists Muster already has loaded.

Opening a task on the Tasks page still marks it read in ActiveCollab, the same as opening it in ActiveCollab itself.

v1.14.29

New

• Usage pace. The usage popup now shows whether you are ahead of or behind an even burn rate for each window, for example "20% in reserve · Lasts until reset" or "12% in deficit · Runs out in 1h 20m". A tick on each bar marks where an even pace would put you.

Improvements

• Clearer status bar usage. Chips name the window instead of repeating "used": Session 0% · Week 53% · Fable 0%. Reset countdowns are in the popup.
• Quieter provider errors. A provider that keeps failing to refresh shows a dimmed warning icon instead of "Refresh failed" text. Details are in the popup.
• Consistent Tasks badge. Chat and Code both show the number of tasks due today or overdue. Unread ActiveCollab changes are a small dot beside it.
• Tidier Sites page. The header keeps New site and Add to sidebar. Site folders and Import from ocsites moved into the ⋯ menu, and the right sidebar no longer shows an unrelated file tree beside the page.

v1.14.28

New

• Sites can authenticate with your SSH key. Each environment now has a Use SSH key instead checkbox under the SSH password. With it on, imports, deploys, remote WP-CLI and the site tools run through your SSH agent without a stored password. Before, any environment without a saved password was refused, even when the server accepts your key. Agents can set it too, via the use_ssh_key field.

Fixes

• Deploys no longer fail after they have already gone live. The final "Clear server cache" step now clears the cache folder where the site actually keeps it (web/app/cache on Bedrock, wp-content/cache otherwise). It treats a missing cache folder as nothing to clear, and a harmless warning printed by the server's shell no longer marks a successful deploy as failed. A real failure to clear the cache still fails the step.
• Smaller local builds. A locally built Muster no longer packs the 275 MB development copy of the app into itself.

Behind the scenes

• The release pipeline now stops the macOS build as soon as the typecheck fails, instead of building for 17 minutes and then refusing to publish.
• The test suite runs to completion again: a test that could hang forever on some Macs is bounded, and about 100 tests broken by stale fixtures and mocks have been repaired.

v1.14.27

New

• Chat notifications when Claude needs you. When a chat is waiting for an approval or an answer to a question, Muster now shows a "Claude needs you" notification that names the chat and says what it is waiting for. It can be switched off with the new Chat Needs You toggle in Settings → Notifications.
• Clicking a chat notification opens that chat. Both the "finished" and "needs you" notifications now switch to the Chat tab and open the thread. Before, clicking one did nothing.

Fixes

• Chat "finished" notifications now arrive when you are elsewhere in the app. A chat that finished while you were in the Code view or the Tasks page used to count as seen, so no notification fired and the sidebar showed no "Done". Notifications now also use the chat's sidebar name instead of "Task complete in workspace".
• Deleting a chat or a chat workspace stops its Claude process. Deleted chats used to keep running in the background, still able to run tools, until Muster quit. This also covers a chat deleted while it was still starting.
• Changing model or effort in a chat no longer leaves stale state behind. Approval cards from the old session are cleared, leftover text from the interrupted reply no longer runs into the next one, and a failed relaunch now shows Resume instead of hanging.
• Update checks run every hour while Muster is open, instead of once a day, and a check missed while the Mac was asleep now runs within five minutes of waking.
• Changing an Agent Local site's domain no longer shows "This operation was aborted". Muster gave up after 5 seconds while Agent Local was still restarting the site and rewriting its URLs; it now waits for the rename to finish.

v1.14.26

Changes

• The macOS menu bar icon is gone. Muster no longer puts an icon in the macOS menu bar, and the Show Menu Bar Icon setting under Appearance is removed. Settings, update checks and activity are all in the main window. The Windows tray icon stays.

Fixes

• Agent edits no longer undo each other or your unsaved changes. The Muster Sites tools rebuilt a site's whole environment list from the saved file, which trails the open app by a few seconds, so two quick edits to one environment reverted the first and could put back a value you had just changed in Settings. Agents now send only the fields they change, and the open app merges them into the live site. When Muster is closed, the tools write just that site to the data file and leave every other site and setting as they were.
• A write the app did not save is reported as a failure. If Muster is open but slow or refuses a change, the tool now says nothing was written instead of saving around the app and reporting success. Creating and renaming environments report failure the same way, and if the stored passwords cannot be copied, the environment change is rolled back. A delete whose passwords cannot be removed says so in a warning.
• The Sites screen shows agent edits straight away. It refreshes when an agent changes a site, instead of waiting for the next reload.
• An ACF restore can be undone. restore_wp_fields takes a snapshot of the current values before it writes and returns its pre_restore_token. It refuses to write if that snapshot fails, and refuses a restore aimed at a different environment from the one the snapshot came from.
• Config writes need an environment when the branch does not name one. On a branch that maps to no environment, set_deployment_fields and set_deployment_toggles ask for env instead of writing to a guessed one.
• Agents get the same field checks as Settings. Lengths, ports and timeouts follow the Settings limits, toggles accept only true or false, local_wp_root refuses absolute paths and .., and the tool schemas list every field and toggle by name.
• Steps an agent creates start switched off. create_custom_step and install_library_step add the step disabled, so it runs only after someone turns it on.

v1.14.25

Fixes

• Agents can switch a site to Agent Local. set_deployment_fields refused local_stack: agent-local because it checked against an old list of stacks, so an agent could not finish an Agent Local import without someone changing the stack in Settings. It now accepts every stack the app does. (#30)
• Read-only WP-CLI calls can no longer run code or write. The allowlist that lets agents run WP-CLI reads without asking accepted --exec=<php> (and bare --require or --path) on any read, and treated user meta, post meta, theme mod and cli alias as reads, so meta update and meta delete went through with no write opt-in. Those flags are refused now, and only the reading subcommands (meta get, meta list, mod get…) run freely.
• A misspelled tool argument is refused instead of ignored. run_deploy_functions with environment instead of env used to drop the unknown key and deploy to whatever environment the checked-out branch maps to. Every Muster Sites tool now rejects arguments it does not declare, lists the valid ones, and runs nothing.
• Agent Local certificates need one password prompt, not one per site. With Agent Local 0.36 and later, which signs site certificates with its own local certificate authority, Muster asks you to trust that authority once and every later site is trusted without a prompt. Older Agent Local versions behave as before.
• Agent Local branch previews resolve to the preview. A path inside a branch preview now reports the preview's own domain, folder and running state instead of the main site's.
• Clearer Agent Local errors. A daemon restart in the middle of a database import is named as such, a request the daemon rejects for its host is reported plainly, and a domain change that went through but could not update /etc/hosts or the certificate says what did not follow. Muster also reads Agent Local's new machine-readable error codes where they exist, falling back to the old messages.
• Agent Local source builds work fully. A daemon built from source reports its version as dev; Muster treated that as 0.0.0 and switched off the Agent Local import routes, and the extensions hub called it outdated. Both now treat it as current.
• One database save point per import. When Agent Local has just imported the database, the domain rewrite that follows no longer asks it for a second snapshot of the same data.

v1.14.24

Features

• omp sub-agents now show in the sidebar. Sub-agents started by omp's task tool appear as indented child rows under their agent, each with its name and how long it has been running. A row disappears as that sub-agent finishes, and the parent stays "working" until the last one is done — the same behaviour Claude sub-agents already had. Needs a fresh omp session: omp loads extensions when the process starts, so a session that is already running keeps the old extension until you relaunch it.

Fixes

• omp sub-agents no longer report status as the main agent. A running sub-agent used to send its own tool and completion events against the pane, which could flip a busy agent to "done" mid-run and overwrite the session id used to resume it. Only the main session reports now.
• Agent rows name the conversation. While an agent works, its row shows the conversation title (or the first prompt) instead of the tool it is calling, which changed on every call and read as flicker.

Projects list

With Settings › Experimental › New card style turned on:

• Worktree cards sit one step in from their project again, so each project reads as a group instead of one long list.
• A thin tree line runs from each project's icon into its cards, ending in a rounded corner at the last one.
• Cards have the same 8px padding on the left and the right.

Fixes

• Intel Macs can update again. Releases since v1.14.10 only shipped Apple Silicon builds, so Intel Macs showed an update error on every check. macOS releases now include both Intel and Apple Silicon builds. The updater also stops offering a release that has no build for your Mac, so this can't come back as an error loop.
  • If you're on an Intel Mac running a build you made yourself, install this release by hand once: download muster-macos-x64.dmg, drag Muster into Applications, then run xattr -cr /Applications/Muster.app.
• Extension Hub no longer says Agent Local needs an update when it isn't installed. It shows the latest version available instead.
• muster-sites MCP card only asks for setup when no harness is connected. Harnesses left unbound while another one is connected are no longer counted as needing setup.
• LocalWP and Agent Local site setup:
  • Migrating a LocalWP site into app/public no longer moves Local's conf and logs folders in with it.
  • Site paths starting with ~ resolve correctly.
  • Migrated sites use LocalWP's database login, and imported sites keep the right http/https scheme after search-replace.
  • An already-running site is adopted with its real domain instead of a guessed one.
  • Agent Local is only reported as available when its CLI is installed. Status checks no longer start its daemon.
• Tasks panel: the 10-task limit on sending tasks to an agent is gone.

Projects list

• Projects slide open and closed, and the list shows a soft shadow when there's more to scroll above or below.
• Sleeping projects no longer flash in and then vanish on launch.
• Agent status dots stay round at any display scale, and the working spinner is smoother.
• Keyboard: the list is now a proper tree. Arrow keys, Home and End move; Right and Left expand and collapse; Enter and Space open.

With Settings › Experimental › New card style turned on:

• Status dots, agent pills and titles line up with the project folder icon, with even padding on both sides.
• A workspace with no name shows its branch, including LocalWP folders whose repository lives in app/public.
• Agents that need attention or have finished pulse until you open them.
• Sub-agents hang from their parent in a small tree. Clicking a parent agent opens its terminal, then toggles its sub-agents.

v1.14.21

Editor themes from VS Code and Cursor

The built-in code editor can now wear a theme you already use. Settings → Appearance → Editor → Import scans your VS Code and Cursor installs, lists what it finds with a colour swatch per theme, and marks the one that editor is currently using. Pick a dark theme and a light theme; the choice applies to the editor, diffs, diff sections, notebooks and code excerpts together.

Themes that carry a full ANSI palette can dress the terminal too, offered as a checkbox when a chosen theme has one.

Tested against 54 real themes across both editors, including ones that use JSONC, include chains, translated names and alpha colours.

ActiveCollab comments

• @mentions now rank by first name. Typing jak finds Jake before it finds anyone whose surname starts with those letters.
• Mentioning someone who is not a member of the project now works. The picker falls back to the wider user list when nothing in the project matches.

Fixes

• Pasting a link into a comment no longer pops the link editor open over what you were typing, and the popover no longer runs off the edge of a narrow panel.
• Three scroll containers were using the native scrollbar instead of Muster's.
